Grace for the Moment by Max Lucado

Praise the Lord, God our Savior, who helps us everyday. Psalm 68:19

Christ will not turn away from you. He came first and foremost to those who have no hope. He goes to those no one else would go to and says, "I'll give you eternity." Only you can surrender your concerns to the Father. No one else can take those away and give them to God. Only you can cast all your anxieties on the one who cares for you. What better way to start the day than by laying your cares at his feet?

I have so many pictures from Germany. I took about 700. Every moment was a picture perfect moment there. So here are a few more of the trains and train station we took.

The Bridge to God is Free. The Bridge to God is Hope. All you have to do is walk across. Walk into his arms. He is waiting for you to experience his peace.

This picture was taken in Southern Germany near Austria.

More Germany Pic's

I liked this garfield cartoon. Thought it was cute. This actually sounds like me when I try to fix things I see on the Food Network. Sometimes they don't turn out quite right and Doug will let me know.

This is another pic from Germany. This bridge is across from the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. I thought this was beautiful. I also thought of this verse when I saw this picture.

Ephesians 3:14-19

14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

It has been a busy week. A lot has been going on. But even though it has been busy he has reminded me that He is near even in the middle of my busy day. I read several devotionals everyday and last night I read this verse in my devotional. It was Philippians 4:5-6 The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing.

When I read that I just felt his presence and peace. The title of that devotional was "The Lord is Near". It is awesome that he lets you know that he is near and that he can handle everything you encounter. That he is going to be there and take care of you. I was comforted when I read that verse.

This past weekend my Dad and step-mom came to visit her are some pic's of some of the things we did. We did go to progreso. My step mom wanted to go there to shop but I had never been there and was a little afraid to go but for the most part we had fun. It was very crowded there. We found a good restaurant to eat at called Agulars I think. All the waiters were dressed up in tuxedo's and there was nothing but American's eating there. The food was good and none of us got sick. It rained on us at first but then it stopped. I am glad because it was pretty miserable while it was raining. It seems to flood really bad in Mexico went it rains. Then we just took them to the beach and the downtown where all the ships are.

Pslam 16:7-11
7 I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. 8 I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
9 No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. 10 For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave. 11 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

Meaning behind a name

I like this picture of me it really captures who I am. The pic was taken at the Castle we went to in Germany two weeks ago. I was drawn to this window seat in the castle. I love window seats. I sat there for a while just thinking about God, life, dreams and hopes. I have been through a lot in the last year. Due to a severe back injury that literally stopped me in my tracks. It was a year ago this week I hurt my back. I am a nurse. So everything has been on mind of what has transpired in the last year to me. I think sometimes God uses things like this to get our attention. Well God got my attention. I will just say that it seemed that everything came crashing down around me. I have to say this has been the worst and best year of my life. The worst being the injury and the best finding God again in the process. So for the past year everyday has been a struggle for me. I still live with back pain. It is not as bad as it was and I am on my way to getting better. But I still have days that are such a challenge for me but I have found comfort in God and knowing that He is there. This past Sunday we went to church and they had a guest speaker Bill Bates who was a football player for the Dallas Cowboys and he told his testimony. And he talked about having dreams and overcoming trials. It hit home with me. It was like God was telling me I can get through this and overcome it. Anyway, It is kinda how I picked my name for my blog. That my everyday life has been a struggle for the past year. And each day there seemed to be a new challenge for me. But I am glad that God got my attention. I could not imagine not having God in my life at this point. He has shown me that he is there and he is real. And he has put very special people in my life to help me. It just amazes me how God has worked in my life.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.

This picture was taken at my sister-in-law's house in Germany. This is the view they have off of their patio.

My husband was so nice to get us a room with a veiw of the castle. It was so beautiful.
