Today we went to the beach for Sand fest. They always have a sand castle building contest there. This year was kinda cloudy, windy and raining mist. But still quite a few people were out today. My favorite one is of Mary holding Jesus in the middle of my post.

Amazing works of art. It amazes me when I see sand or snow sculptures like these, what people can do. I won a sand sculpture contest in the mayan riviera once - we built a crocodile, but it was nothing at all fancy compared to these (just fancier than our competitors)
Bummer on the weather but it still looks like the competition was a success!
The paper said sandfest is now the biggest master sand sculture contest in the US. WOW! I didn't even know it was last weekend but am glad to see rain didn't hit port A hard.
I gotta get some tools and a book on how to do that so the girls can learn and occupy themselves while I fish and skimboard (since they're not too interested in either).
Absolutely incredible. Must have been something being right there.
